Jian Zhang et al.

Summary: A low-threshold single-mode laser in CsPbBr3 microdiscs, sandwiched in DBRs, is achieved at room temperature. By adjusting the thickness of the CsPbBr3 microdiscs, the wavelength of the laser emission can be widely tuned, showing potential applications in optoelectronic devices and signal processing.

Surface versus Bulk Currents and Ionic Space-Charge Effects in CsPbBr3 Single Crystals

Osbel Almora et al.

Summary: CsPbBr3 single crystals with optimal optoelectronic properties have potential applications in ionizing-radiation detection devices. However, their mixed ionic-electronic conductivity leads to instability and hysteresis, which hinders long-term operation. Electrical characterization of CsPbBr3 single crystals reveals voltage bias-dependent bulk mobilities and qualitative and quantitative transport differences between bulk and surface mobilities. The formation of space-charge-limited current (SCLC) associated with mechanisms similar to Poole-Frenkel ionized-trap-assisted transport is observed.

Amplifying Surface Energy Difference toward Anisotropic Growth of All-Inorganic Perovskite Single-Crystal Wires for Highly Sensitive Photodetector

Yuan Chen et al.

Summary: By amplifying the surface energy difference through a chemical potential dependent strategy, CsPbBr3 perovskite monocrystalline wires with high aspect ratio were successfully grown. The anisotropic growth of the wires was achieved by regulating the anti-solvent diffusion kinetic and the mass transfer kinetic control of metal halide salts. The produced PWs exhibit high photodetection responsivity and external quantum efficiency, revealing the crucial role of surface energy in the anisotropic growth of CsPbBr3 PWs.

Energetic and electronic properties of CsPbBr3 surfaces: a first-principles study

Yi Yang et al.

Summary: Surface properties of all-inorganic halide perovskites, specifically cubic CsPbBr3, were systematically studied using density functional theory. Nonpolar CsBr-terminated (100) surfaces were found to be the most stable, while polar (110) and (111) surfaces were unstable due to charge transfer effects. Modulation of surface chemical composition was identified as an effective way to compensate polarity and enhance stability.
