Electrostatic Interfacial Cross-Linking and Structurally Oriented Fiber Constructed by Surface-Modified 2D MXene for High- Performance Flexible Pseudocapacitive Storage

Yuanchuan Zheng et al.

Summary: This study fabricates a MXene fiber with high flexibility and electrochemical performance by interfacial cross-linking and oriented structure. The MXene fiber exhibits high electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and pseudocapacitance charge storage capability. The assembled fiber supercapacitor shows exceptional flexibility, stability, and capacitance retention under mechanical deformation, and can be integrated into commercial textiles to power microelectronic devices.

Industrial scale production of fibre batteries by a solution-extrusion method

Meng Liao et al.

Summary: Fibre batteries are a promising technology that can be woven into flexible textiles to create compact, wearable and lightweight power solutions. However, current manufacturing methods are inefficient and cannot meet the demands of real applications. We have developed a new solution-extrusion method that can produce continuous fibre batteries at high production rates. Our method has achieved a three-orders-of-magnitude increase in fibre length compared to previous reports.
