Antidisturbance Control Design for Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Stochastic Systems With Input Quantization

Ramasamy Kavikumar et al.

Summary: This paper presents a quantized antidisturbance control design problem for a class of interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy stochastic systems subject to time delays and multiple disturbances. Due to the inherent uncertain nonlinear and hybrid characteristics of the system, designing a stable antidisturbance controller becomes difficult. To properly reflect the characteristics of IT2 fuzzy stochastic models with multiple disturbances, a new fuzzy disturbance observer is proposed. A quantized fuzzy antidisturbance control scheme is then synthesized by fusing the estimation of the multiple disturbances. With the support of Lyapunov functional method, Ito's formula, and auxiliary function-based integral inequality, the resulting IT2 fuzzy stochastic systems are proved to be robustly stochastically stable with mixed H-infinity/passivity performance index. The design methods are formulated using linear matrix inequalities for easy obtainment of gain matrices. Simulation studies on three examples justify the efficiency of the designed control strategy.

Filtering for Discrete-Time Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Nonhomogeneous Markov Jump Systems With Quantization Effects

Mingang Hua et al.

Summary: This article addresses the H-infinity and l(2)-l(infinity) filtering problems for discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy non-homogeneous Markov jump systems with quantization effects. A mode-dependent logarithmic quantizer is considered to reduce conservativeness, and sufficient conditions for stochastic stability and desired performance index are provided based on fuzzy-rule-dependent Lyapunov function. The effectiveness of proposed fuzzy filter design methods is illustrated through a practical example.

Yongxiao Tian et al.

Summary: This article focuses on the output feedback control problem for continuous-time hidden semi-Markov jump systems with time delays. By establishing emission probabilities relationship, the asynchronous information between controller modes and system modes is better described, and new parameter-dependent stabilization conditions are proposed.

Protocol-Based Output-Feedback Control for Semi-Markov Jump Systems

Jun Cheng et al.

Summary: This study addresses the output-feedback control problem for general semi-Markov jump systems with a memory-dynamic event-triggered protocol. A novel framework of semi-Markov process subject to a higher level deterministic switching signal is constructed based on the average dwell-time strategy. By proposing a dynamic-memory event-triggered protocol and considering an asynchronous memory-based output-feedback control law, the mean-square exponential stability of the closed-loop system is ensured.

Fault Estimation for Mode-Dependent IT2 Fuzzy Systems With Quantized Output Signals

Rathinasamy Sakthivel et al.

Summary: This article proposes a new method for fault estimation in mode-dependent interval type-2 fuzzy systems with quantized output measurements, which does not require observer matching conditions and considers a stochastically intermediate variable to construct a robust observer. By establishing sufficient conditions based on the strategy of linear matrix inequality, the boundedness of system states in a probabilistic sense is ensured. Through three illustrative examples, including practical models, the availability and feasibility of the proposed method are demonstrated.

Quantized Dynamic Output Feedback Control and L2-Gain Analysis for Networked Control Systems: A Hybrid Approach

Chunyu Wu et al.

Summary: This article addresses the problems of stabilization and L-2-gain performance analysis for continuous-time networked control systems (NCSs) with quantization effects. A hybrid system framework is adopted to remodel the NCSs, which is flexible to the joint design of controllers, samplers, and quantizers. New sufficient conditions for uniformly globally asymptotic stability (UGAS) and L-2-gain performance are presented in terms of matrix inequalities using a novel Lyapunov function.
