Structural, chemical and low-temperature magnetic properties of lead-Free 0.6NiFe2O4-0.4Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 magnetoelectric composite

G. Jagadish Kumar et al.

Summary: Structural, chemical, and low-temperature magnetic properties of lead-free 0.6NiFe(2)O(4)-0.4Na(0.5)Bi(0.5)TiO(3) composite are reported. The composite exhibits NFO and NBTO phases in appropriate composition, with ZFC and FC magnetization measurements showing competing magnetic interactions. Magnetization values increase with decreasing temperature, with saturation magnetization following Bloch's law and magnetocrystalline anisotropy increasing from 0.239 x 10(4) erg/cc to 0.349 x 10(4) erg/cc at various temperatures.

Electrical and thermoelectrical properties of Bi2-xNaxTe3 alloys

A. M. Adam et al.

Summary: In this study, for the first time, Bi2Te3 alloys were doped with Na atoms to enhance their thermoelectric performance. The prepared alloys showed perfect crystalline structure and the Na-doping significantly increased the electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient at high temperatures. The power factor of the materials was calculated and the maximum value was observed for the most Na-doped samples.

Enhanced magnetoelectric coupling in dysprosium-doped BiFeO3 on the formation of nanocomposite with SrFe12O19

Anusree Das et al.

Summary: This study synthesized nanocomposites (NCs) containing SrFe12O19 and Bi0.9Dy0.1FeO3, where Dy-substitution increased the magnetization and dielectric constant of BiFeO3 (BFO), while increasing SFO content in the NCs led to higher magnetization but lower dielectric constant. The changes in capacitance of the NC samples in the presence of a magnetic field up to 150 kOe indicated a substantial enhancement of the magnetoelectric (ME) coupling coefficient of BFO in the nanocomposites, which tended to improve with higher SFO content in the NCs.
