Factors Influencing Implementation, Sustainability and Scalability of Healthy Food Retail Interventions: A Systematic Review of Reviews

Summary: This systematic review aimed to analyze the factors influencing the implementation, sustainability, and scalability of food retail interventions to improve the healthiness of food purchased by consumers. The study found that factors such as retailers' and consumers' knowledge and preferences, trust and relationships, consumer demand, profitability, store infrastructure, organizational support, and health-promoting policies influenced the implementation of interventions. However, there is limited research on factors associated with sustainability and scalability. Further work is needed to identify these factors.
