Ultra-High-Field 7 T Magnetic Resonance Imaging Including Dynamic and Static Contrast-Enhanced T1-Weighted Imaging Improves Detection of Secreting Pituitary Microadenomas

Felix Eisenhut et al.

Summary: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of 7T and 3T ultra-high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in detecting and localizing pituitary microadenomas. The results showed that 7T MRI outperformed 3T MRI in detecting microadenomas and providing more precise localization, with better image quality. Therefore, 7T sellar imaging is a promising option that can help reduce the need for invasive diagnostics.
