Modification in structural, optical, morphological, and electrical properties of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) by metal (Ni, Co) dopants for electronic device applications

Shahroz Saleem et al.

Summary: In this study, Zinc Oxide nanoparticles doped with Nickel and Cobalt were successfully synthesized via chemical co-precipitation method. Characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and SEM were used to investigate the phase, optical properties, and composition changes, showing that increasing dopant concentration led to reduced crystallite size and bandgap value. The findings suggest the potential of tuning the properties of metal-doped ZnO for optoelectronic applications.

Enhanced electrical properties of (Zn, Mn)-modified BiFeO3-BaTiO3 lead-free ceramics prepared via sol-gel method and two-step sintering

Yong-Shen Lu et al.

Summary: Lead-free 0.7BiFe(1-2x)Zn(x)Mn(x)O(3)-0.3BaTiO(3) (BFZMx-BT) piezoceramics were prepared via sol-gel method and two-step sintering process. The addition of Zn and Mn ions significantly modified the microstructure, resulting in enhanced Curie temperature, dielectric properties, and polarization magnitude. The codoping of (Zn, Mn) in BF-BT induced improved performance in terms of remnant polarization, leakage current, Curie temperature, piezoelectric constant, strain response, and piezoelectric actuator constant.

Structural features, magnetic and ferroelectric properties of SrFe10.8In1.2O19 compound

Vitalii Turchenko et al.

Summary: The study found that the solid solution of SrFe10.8In1.2O19 hexaferrite exhibits ferroelectric properties at room temperature, challenging the conventional description of hexaferrite crystal structure. The magnetic structure and thermal expansion of the unit cell were investigated in a temperature range, with controversies remaining about the reasons for spontaneous polarization in hexaferrite solid solutions.

Exploration of crystal structure, magnetic and dielectric properties of titanium-barium hexaferrites

S. Trukhanov et al.

Summary: This study investigates the crystal structure, magnetic, and dielectric properties of titanium-barium hexaferrites. It was found that Ti4+ cations substitute Fe3+ cations, leading to changes in unit cell parameters with varying x values. The real part of permittivity increases with temperature while decreasing with frequency.

Phase transformations in FeCo - Fe2CoO4/Co3O4-spinel nanostructures as a result of thermal annealing and their practical application

M. V. Zdorovets et al.

Summary: This research found that the formation of oxide spinel structures of type Fe2CoO4/Co3O4 through thermal annealing can increase the number of cycles for nanotubes by 1.5-1.7 times. The effectiveness of increasing the lifetime of anode materials is attributed to the enhanced resistance to degradation of Fe2CoO4/Co3O4 structures, leading to the acceleration of lithation processes.

The Effect of Ca Dopant on the Electrical and Dielectric Properties of BaTi4O9 Sintered Ceramics

Asad Ali et al.

Summary: This research examines the impact of Ca2+ substitution on the phase and electrical properties of (Ba1-xCax) Ti4O9 sintered pellets. XRD analysis revealed the emergence of orthorhombic phase and a considerable shift in grain size with the addition of Ca. Frequency-dependent parameters indicated a Maxwell-Wagner type of interfacial polarization, making (Ba1-xCax) Ti4O9 a prominent energy storage material.
