Mathematical modelling of unsteady Oldroyd-B fluid flow due to stretchable cylindrical surface with energy transport

Muhammad Yasir et al.

Summary: The unsteady boundary layer flow and thermal transportation of an incompressible Oldroyd-B nanofluid driven by a stretching cylinder are analyzed in this study. The governing equations are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations. The obtained equations are solved using the homotopy analysis method for the velocity, temperature, and concentration fields. The results show that the velocity, temperature, and concentration distributions near the cylinder's surface are enhanced as the curvature parameter increases.

Summary: The rapid development of nanotechnology in the past decade has created numerous opportunities for researchers and engineers. Nanofluids, created by suspending nanoparticles in conventional heat transfer carriers, offer significant advantages in thermal properties. This study addresses the challenge of nanofluid stability and analyzes various forces and physical phenomena affecting the stability. Stable and highly conductive nanofluids can be produced through one-step or two-step production methods, but both methods face the problem of nanoparticle agglomeration.

Analysis of the MHD partially ionized GO-Ag/water and GO-Ag/kerosene oil hybrid nanofluids flow over a stretching surface with Cattaneo-Christov double diffusion model: A comparative study

Ebrahem A. Algehyne et al.

Summary: This investigation explores the enhancement of thermal characteristics in a hybrid nanoliquid, which has important applications in industries such as coolant for electrical devices and heat exchangers. The study considers the three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic flow of partially ionized hybrid nanofluids over a stretching sheet. The results show that increasing Hall current and ion-slip number enhance the primary velocities of the hybrid nanofluids, while higher Hartmann number decreases the velocities. On the other hand, larger Hall current and stretching parameter increase the velocities, while increasing ion-slip number and Hartmann number have the opposite effects. The temperature profiles of the hybrid nanofluids weaken for thermal relaxation time parameter and increase for higher thermal Biot number. The water-based hybrid nanofluid is more influenced by the embedded parameters compared to the kerosene oil-based hybrid nanofluid.

Summary: This paper studied the simulation of partial differential equations that model Casson fluid dynamics on a curved surface. The effects of various factors on flow and thermal boundary thickness were analyzed. The results showed that increasing the parameter curvature values inflates the velocity profiles, decreases the thermal transmission rate, and non-Newtonian fluids have a higher heat transport rate under the effects of uneven heat source and viscous dissipation.
