Dissipation profile of sulfoxaflor on squash under Egyptian field conditions: a prelude to risk assessment

Osama Abdallah et al.

Summary: This study assessed the safety and residue behavior of sulfoxaflor, a widely used neonicotinoid insecticide, in squash in Egypt. The results showed that sulfoxaflor residues in squash decrease via a first-order decay process, with significant degradation after 14 days. Consumer risk assessment indicated that there were no significant health risks associated with consumption of squash treated with sulfoxaflor.

Dissipation kinetics and dietary risk assessment of spiromesifen on major summer vegetables using good agricultural practices

Jatiender Kumar Dubey et al.

Summary: The dissipation kinetics and dietary risk assessment of spiromesifen were studied on four summer vegetables. The residues of spiromesifen dissipated rapidly after spraying on the fruits, with suggested safe waiting periods varying slightly among different crops. The hazard quotient was found to be below 1, and the theoretical maximum dietary intake was lower than the maximum residue limit in all vegetable crops investigated.
