Summary: This study investigated the effects of high salinity on the razor clam Sinonovacula constricta and found that the clam can adapt to moderately high salinity through osmotic adjustment. Future research should aim to integrate changes in renal reabsorption and ion secretion with transporter function at the cellular and molecular level in different regions of the nephrons.
