Effect of exponential heat source on parabolic flow of three different non-Newtonian fluids

S. P. Samrat et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow and thermal transfer characteristics of MHD Casson, Carreau, and Williamson fluids in a parabolic extending region with exponential heat generation. The study reveals that Casson fluid has superior thermal conductivity compared to Carreau and Williamson fluids, and the dynamics and thermal gradients of the three non-Newtonian fluids are non-uniform. Furthermore, the magnetic force tends to condense the flow and thermal transport rate of these fluids, and increasing the magnitude of the Prandtl and exponential parameters enhances the rate of thermal transport.

Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) boundary layer flow of hybrid nanofluid over a moving plate with Joule heating

Najiyah Safwa Khashi'ie et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the heat transfer in MHD hybrid nanofluid flow on a moving plate. Numerical solutions reveal two possible solutions, with the first solution being the physically realizable one. The study shows that increasing the strength of suction and magnetic parameter enhances heat transfer and extends the critical value, while the Eckert number has no effect on the critical value. This research is significant in understanding the thermal behavior of nanofluids and has practical implications in industrial applications.

MHD hybrid nanofluid flow over a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet with thermal radiation effect

Ubaidullah Yashkun et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat transfer characteristics of MHD hybrid nanofluid over a linear stretching and shrinking surface with suction and thermal radiation effects. The study finds that the heat transfer efficiency of the hybrid nanofluid is greater than the nanofluid, and dual solutions exist for a specific range of the stretching/shrinking parameter. Additionally, the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number increase with suction effect, and suction and thermal radiation widen the range of the stretching/shrinking parameter for which solutions exist.

Summary: The article examines the attributes of convection and Joule heating in a magneto-hydrodynamics two-dimensional stagnation point flow, finding that temperature profiles vary with different parameters, while velocity decreases with increasing nanoparticle concentration, curvature, and Hartmann number. Friction drag decreases with larger curvature and increases with greater suction, while heat transfer rate decreases with lower Eckert number and increases with stronger suction, Hartmann, and Biot number.

Summary: Nanoparticles play a crucial role in enhancing heat transfer processes in various industrial and engineering phenomena. The suspension of nanoparticles with microorganisms is an important area of research in biotechnology, health sciences, and biomedical applications. This study focuses on analyzing bioconvective phenomena in Darcy-Forchheimer flow of Reiner-Philippoff nanofluid induced by a stretched surface, examining radiative patterns, and evaluating heat and mass using modified expressions. The flow equations are transformed into dimensionless form and solved using the shooting technique in MATLAB, with results showing the impact of physical parameters on velocity, temperature, and microorganism profiles.

Convective heat transfer in MHD hybrid nanofluid flow over two different geometries

G. P. Ashwinkumar et al.

Summary: This paper examines the impact of nonlinear thermal radiation on 2-D magnetohydrodynamic flow of hybrid nanoliquid across two distinct geometries and discusses the resulting flow and thermal distributions. The results show that nonlinear thermal radiation enhances thermal distributions and decreases heat transfer rates, with differences observed between flow over a cone and flow over a plate. Additionally, the thermal transport rate is significantly higher for flow above a cone compared to flow over a plate.
