RIViT-seq enables systematic identification of regulons of transcriptional machineries

Hiroshi Otani et al.

Summary: The authors present a new method called RIViT-seq, which combines in vitro transcription assay and RNA sequencing to systematically identify regulons of transcription factors. They applied this method to identify target genes of 11 sigma factors in Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2) and expanded the transcriptional regulatory network in this organism.
