Dual-comb photothermal spectroscopy

Qiang Wang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates dual-comb photothermal spectroscopy (DC-PTS), which combines the advantages of dual-comb spectroscopy and photothermal spectroscopy, for gas sensing with superfine resolution and high sensitivity. By passing dual combs and a probe laser through a gas-filled anti-resonant hollow-core fiber, the refractive index modulation is detected by an in-line interferometer. The proposed DC-PTS method offers opportunities for broadband gas sensing with small sample volume and compact configuration.

Dual-comb based time-stretch optical coherence tomography for large and segmental imaging depth

Liang Xu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a time-stretch optical coherence tomography based on dual-comb laser, which achieves high-resolution and high-frame-rate imaging. By introducing slightly different repetition rates of the dual-comb laser, the imaging depth can be improved. Experimental results show that this technology achieves an imaging depth of 1.5 meters and an A-scan rate of 200 kHz, with high resolution and accuracy. Furthermore, by adjusting the frequency detuning of the dual-comb laser, the A-scan rate can be further increased to achieve video-rate imaging.
