Manuela Panic et al.

Summary: Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have shown promise as an alternative to traditional organic solvents due to their environmental and technological benefits. DESs offer a vast range of structural combinations, making it possible to design optimal solvents for specific enzymatic reactions. While hydrolases are the most studied enzymes in DESs, other enzymes like epoxide hydrolases, phospholipases, proteases, and dehydrogenases require more research for synthetic reactions in DESs.
