Structural and in-vitro characterization of highly swellableβ-cyclodextrin polymeric nanogels fabricated by free radical polymerization for solubility enhancement of rosuvastatin

Syed Faisal Badshah et al.

Summary: The aim of this study was to enhance the solubility of Rosuvastatin using nanogels synthesized by free radical polymerization. Surface morphology and structural compatibility were analyzed using SEM and FTIR spectroscopy. Particle size analysis was conducted using Zeta sizer. Swelling, in-vitro release, and solubility studies were performed in different media. The in-vitro release of the nanogels was compared with commercially available tablets, showing better response. The nanogels were found to be biocompatible. Overall, the study concluded that the solubility of Rosuvastatin can be enhanced by nanogels and this formulation can be applied to other poorly soluble drugs.

Preparation and Evaluation of Chitosan/PVA Based Hydrogel Films Loaded with Honey for Wound Healing Application

Hitesh Chopra et al.

Summary: In this study, chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-based hydrogel films loaded with honey were developed for potential wound healing applications. The films were evaluated for their physical and mechanical properties, as well as their antimicrobial performance against Staphylococcus aureus. The results demonstrated the potential of these films as wound dressings and suggested the need for further in vivo experiments to evaluate their clinical efficacy.
