Prognostic Value of Copine 1 in Patients With Renal Cell Carcinoma

Iman M. Talaat et al.

Summary: This study revealed a significant association between the expression of Copine 1 and the age, nuclear grade, and tumor stage of renal cell carcinoma patients. However, no significant association was found between Copine 3 expression and any parameters. Copine 1 may be used as an independent biomarker or in combination with EphA2 and Ki-67 to predict disease outcome.

Summary: Each year, the American Cancer Society compiles data on cancer occurrence and outcomes in the United States. The latest data shows that breast and prostate cancer progress has stagnated, while lung cancer has shown improvements in survival rates. Lung cancer incidence for advanced disease has declined while localized-stage rates have increased, resulting in higher survival rates. Mortality patterns align with incidence trends, with lung cancer deaths declining rapidly, breast cancer deaths slowing, and prostate cancer deaths stabilizing.

CPNE1 is a potential prognostic biomarker, associated with immune infiltrates and promotes progression of hepatocellular carcinoma

Jinfang Su et al.

Summary: In this study, we found that the high expression of CPNE1 gene in hepatocellular carcinoma is associated with poor prognosis and plays an important regulatory role in the proliferation and migration of HCC cells. Furthermore, we also discovered a significant correlation between CPNE1 expression and tumor immune infiltration.

CPNE1 promotes non-small cell lung cancer progression by interacting with RACK1 via the MET signaling pathway

Anqi Wang et al.

Summary: This study reveals that CPNE1 promotes tumorigenesis in NSCLC by interacting with RACK1 and activating the MET signaling pathway. The combination of a MET inhibitor with an EGFR-TKI is more effective in inhibiting tumor growth.

CPNE1 silencing inhibits cell proliferation and accelerates apoptosis in human gastric cancer

Yan Li et al.

Summary: CPNE1 is upregulated in gastric cancer and its high expression is associated with poor prognosis. Silencing CPNE1 inhibits tumor proliferation and induces cell apoptosis. CPNE1 knockdown deactivates the DDIT3-FOS-MKNK2 axis, leading to inhibition of the MAPK pathway and suppression of gastric cancer growth.

CPNE1 Enhances Colorectal Cancer Cell Growth, Glycolysis, and Drug Resistance Through Regulating the AKT-GLUT1/HK2 Pathway

Yuexia Wang et al.

Summary: CPNE1 is overexpressed in CRC tissues and promotes cell proliferation, inhibits apoptosis, increases mitochondrial respiration and aerobic glycolysis by activating the AKT signaling pathway. It also contributes to chemoresistance in CRC cells, making it a potential target for CRC treatment.

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma ontogeny and mechanisms of lethality

Eric Jonasch et al.

Summary: The molecular features that define the initiation and progression of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) are increasingly being understood. Common genomic and chromosomal copy number abnormalities in ccRCC can be categorized into initiating events, drivers of progression, and factors that confer lethality. Mutations in specific genes in ccRCC may affect genomic stability and immune cell populations within tumors.
