Integration of electronic effects into molecular dynamics simulations of collision cascades in silicon from first-principles calculations

Thomas Jarrin et al.

Summary: This study successfully applied the electron-phonon model to molecular dynamics simulations in silicon and demonstrated its accuracy through experiments. The research found significant discrepancies in collision cascade simulation results when using the EPH model compared to the two-temperature model.
