Developing a new chance constrained NDEA model to measure performance of sustainable supply chains

Mohammad Izadikhah et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a practical technique, network data envelopment analysis (NDEA), for assessing the performance of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM). A new NDEA model is proposed to evaluate the efficiency of SSCM under uncertain conditions. The efficacy of the proposed method is demonstrated through a case study in the soft drinks industry.

Summary: This paper evaluates the eco-efficiency of 35 major cities in China from 2011 to 2015 using a DEA model and measures the effectiveness of urban development through urban HDI and life satisfaction. The results show that most cities exhibit low efficiency and effectiveness, with only a few cities performing relatively well in both aspects.

Developing a new super-efficiency DEA model in the presence of both zero data and stochastic data: a case study in the Iranian airline industry

Mohammad Tavassoli et al.

Summary: This study introduces a new stochastic super-efficiency DEA (SSDEA) model to assess the performance of airlines with stochastic and zero inputs and outputs. The model proposes using input saving and output surplus index to obtain optimal solutions for efficient DMUs, and efficiently produces feasible solutions for inefficient airlines. The research contributes to improving the efficiency assessment in the DEA model by addressing the infeasibility problem with zero input or output.
