Effectiveness of telemedicine psychoeducational interventions for adults with non-oncological chronic disease: A systematic review

Summary: This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of telemedicine psychoeducational interventions in the clinical management of chronic non-oncological diseases in adult patients. The findings suggest that most interventions based on cognitive behavioural theory lead to improvements in health and reductions in anxiety, pain, and depression. Patients expressed high satisfaction rates and found lectures or self-report writings helpful. Financial incentives were associated with greater adherence. The specific intervention format or complementary professional support did not significantly affect health outcomes.
