Relationship Between Syrinx Resolution and Cervical Sagittal Realignment Following Decompression Surgery for Chiari I Malformation Related Syringomyelia Based on Configuration Phenotypes

Chunli Lu et al.

Summary: This study aimed to analyze the correlation between syrinx resolution and changes in cervical sagittal alignment after FMMD surgery for syringomyelia associated with Chiari I malformation. The results showed that the type and clinical characteristics of syringomyelia may be related to cervical curvature, and the resolution of syringomyelia and cervical sagittal realignment were correlated after surgery. Evaluating the relationship between syrinx resolution and cervical sagittal realignment may be valuable for assessing surgical outcomes.

A Safe and Effective Posterior Intra-Articular Distraction Technique to Treat Congenital Atlantoaxial Dislocation Associated With Basilar Invagination: Case Series and Technical Nuances

Zan Chen et al.

Summary: A safe and efficient technique involving posterior intra-articular distraction, cage implantation, and cantilever correction can achieve complete reduction in most cases of congenitally anomalous atlantoaxial dislocation associated with basilar invagination. Postoperative improvements were observed in clinical and radiographic measurements, with all patients achieving bony fusion.
