Dual dimensionality reduction on instance-level and feature-level for multi-label data

Haikun Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel two-stage method for dimensionality reduction in multi-label data, considering both instances and features. In the instance reduction stage, the original data is transformed into single-label data using binary relevance, and learning vector quantization is used for prototype selection to generate new low-dimensional multi-label data. In the feature reduction phase, a filter-based feature selection method is proposed to choose discriminative features. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Learning to rank for multi-label text classification: Combining different sources of information

Hosein Azarbonyad et al.

Summary: Efficiently exploiting various sources of information has a significant impact on the performance of Multi-Label Text Classification systems. Integrating all features using a learning to rank approach can result in improved performance. Additionally, the titles of documents are found to be more informative than other sources, and leveraging co-occurrence information of classes can enhance document classification accuracy.

Multiple-element joint detection for Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis

Chao Wu et al.

Summary: Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) is a fine-grained sentiment analysis task that aims to detect target-aspect-sentiment elements in sentences. The proposed end-to-end multiple-element joint detection model (MEJD) effectively extracts all (target, aspect, sentiment) triples from sentences and achieves state-of-the-art performance in sentiment extraction.
