Summary: The complexity and age of industrial plants have led to an increased need for equipment maintenance and replacement. To address the challenge of reducing the process and review time of equipment purchase order (PO) documents, a purchase order knowledge retrieval model (POKREM) was developed. POKREM utilizes knowledge graph (KG) technology and a hierarchical structure to create a graph database for accurate and efficient document search. The implementation of POKREM resulted in a significant reduction in PO document review time and improved work efficiency for engineers.

Summary: Question answering (QA) in the domain of Natural Language Processing faces challenges when answering questions that require knowledge-specific information. Traditional QA is insufficient for areas like disease diagnosis or drug recommendation which require specialized knowledge. Recent research has shifted towards knowledge-based question answering (KBQA), but issues persist such as limited historical data and extensive human labor. To tackle these challenges, this paper introduces knowledge graph based question answering (KGQA) for the medical domain, showcasing a method that constructs a medical knowledge graph from named entities and relations in medical documents. By extracting key information from questions and understanding their intent, the approach uses an inference method based on weighted path ranking to score and extract relevant entities for answering questions efficiently.

Summary: The study aims to classify bid price volatility levels using machine learning and bid document parameters as risk factors, with a focus on project-oriented risk factors and pre-bid clarification documents as important determinants of bid price uncertainty. Data samples were collected from Caltrans bid summaries and pre-bid clarification documents from 2011-2018, with analysis showing that models including bid document uncertainty as a parameter were more accurate in predicting bid price risks. The accuracy of the models was verified with 40 verification test datasets.
