The 3D-Shaper software reconstructs the 3D shape and density distribution of the femur from 2D DXA scans, which could provide a more accurate estimation of femoral strength.

However, in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), GC doses of >7.5 mg/day were negatively associated with BMD, but only in those with moderate to high disease activity.
