Tribological properties of Ni3Al matrix self-lubricating composites with a gradient composite structure prepared by laser melt deposition

Yuchun Huang et al.

Summary: In this study, Ni3Al matrix self-lubricating composites (NMSCs) with a gradient composite structure (Ni3Al-GCS) were prepared via laser melt deposition. The friction performance of Ni3Al-GCS was less affected by the variation of loading conditions compared to NMSCs. The gradient composite structure of Ni3Al-GCS improved its tribological performance during sliding friction.

Analysis of self-regulating tribological functions of the MgAl microchannels prepared in the Ti alloys

Kang Yang et al.

Summary: The self-regulating tribological behavior of Ti-component using MA microchannels was investigated, showing improved tribological properties compared to Ti alloys. The contributions of Al2O3 and graphene significantly enhanced MA deformation and self-recovery, leading to favorable self-healing morphology for excellent tribological self-regulation in laser additive manufacturing samples.
