Summary: A series of lab-scale experiments were conducted to remediate Direct Blue 15 (DB15) dye using non-toxic halloysite nanotubes (HNT) for potential application in textile industrial effluent (TIE). The study found that the Brouers-Sotolongo adsorption isotherm model accurately predicted the adsorption behavior of HNT, and the pseudo-second-order reaction was identified as the predominant mechanism for the multi-step dye adsorption process. Additionally, the mass transfer during the process was diffusion-controlled, and thermodynamic assessments indicated that the process was physisorption.
