Heterogeneous Photocatalysis of Amoxicillin under Natural Conditions and High-Intensity Light: Fate, Transformation, and Mineralogical Impacts

Nishanthi Ellepola et al.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the mineralogical influences on amoxicillin degradation. The results showed that under sunlight irradiation, anatase can increase the degradation rate of amoxicillin by 4.5 times, while kaolinite slows down its degradation. In addition, high-intensity light irradiation also leads to the formation of various degradation products, limiting its removal from wastewater.

Additive Manufacturing of Polymer-Based Composites Using Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF): a Review

M. Ahmadifar et al.

Summary: This review paper provides recent developments in the Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) approach for composite materials, focusing on influencing parameters and their impact on the strength/bonding or physicochemical characterizations of FFF-fabricated parts. An overview of the mechanical properties of printed parts for different composite material systems is presented and discussed. The study considers three types of reinforced polymers in FFF process: filled reinforced polymers, continuous fiber-reinforced polymers, and short fiber reinforced polymers.
