Metal-Organic Frameworks Nanoarchitectures Boost Catalytic Activity for the Construction of Sensitive Immunosensor

Dandan Su et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with distinct structural features offer new opportunities for designing biofunctional composites. However, the biological activity and utilization efficiency of MOFs remain challenging for advanced immunosensor construction. In this study, biomacromolecules were spatially encapsulated on the cavity of peptide-mediated MOFs, leading to controllable nanoarchitectures and amplified immunosensor signals. The enhanced catalytic activity of biomacromolecules in nanostars was achieved by regulating the pore channel and particle size of the biomacromolecules@MOFs composite, resulting in improved sensitivity for high-sensitive biosensors.
