Preparation and evaluation of a novel alginate-arginine-zinc ion hydrogel film for skin wound healing

Summary: In this study, a novel sodium alginate-arginine-zinc ion (SA-Arg-Zn2+) hydrogel was developed for skin wound dressings. The hydrogel showed high swelling ability, antioxidative activity, and strong antibacterial properties. The wound healing efficacy of SA-Arg-Zn2+ hydrogel was superior to other dressings, with a wound closure ratio of 100% on the 14th day. Additionally, the hydrogel down-regulated inflammatory factors and promoted the production of growth factors. Overall, SA-Arg-Zn2+ hydrogel is an effective and promising wound dressing material.

Summary: The effects of doped nanoparticles and nanocomposites as photoanode on the performance of Dye synthesized Solar Cells were studied using various synthesis methods, XRD, FE-SEM, TEM, FTIR, optical absorption spectra and EIS analysis. The study showed that the photovoltaic properties of DSSCs largely depend on the compounds and structure of photoanodes. The DSSC based on Ag-doped SnO2/TiO2 exhibited the highest conversion efficiency due to lower charge transfer resistance, recombination, and higher short-circuit photocurrent.

Biodegradable film based on lemon peel powder containing xanthan gum and TiO2-Ag nanoparticles: Investigation of physicochemical and antibacterial properties

Summary: The study aimed to prepare a biodegradable film from sour lemon peel waste, modified with xanthan gum and TiO2-Ag nanoparticles. The addition of xanthan gum increased thickness, moisture content, and yellowness of the film, while TiO2-Ag decreased moisture content. The films showed improved tensile strength and thermal stability with the addition of gum and nanoparticles, as well as enhanced antibacterial properties against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Moreover, in the presence of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), titanium dioxide micro- and nanoparticles amplified these negative effects on HGFs.

Bioflavonoid mediated synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles: Characterization and their biomedical applications
