Effects of temperatures and high pressures on the growth and survivability of methanogens and stable carbon isotope fractionation: implications for deep subsurface life on Mars

It is capable of acetylenotrophic and diazotrophic growth, with a genome size of 3.22 Mbp and a DNA G+C content of 53.4%. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed it as a novel member of the genus Syntrophotalea within the family Syntrophotaleaceae.
