Cyclophilin A associates with and regulates the activity of ZAP70 in TCR/CD3-stimulated T cells

Nikhil Ponnoor Anto et al.

Summary: The ZAP70 protein tyrosine kinase is essential for T cell activation and differentiation. This study reveals that CypA regulates the activity of ZAP70 in T cells and this regulation can be inhibited by CsA. The findings suggest that CypA plays a role in T cell activation by modulating the activity of downstream effector molecules.

The Emerging Function of PKCtheta in Cancer

Amandine Nicolle et al.

Summary: PKCA, a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the novel PKC subfamily, plays crucial roles in cellular processes in normal tissues and immune responses. Its aberrant expression in cancers leads to malignant phenotypes by controlling cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Inhibitors targeting PKCA may hold promise for cancer treatment in the context of autoimmune diseases.
