Validation of a Triplex Pharmacokinetic Assay for Simultaneous Quantitation of HIV-1 Broadly Neutralizing Antibodies PGT121, PGDM1400, and VRC07-523-LS

Martina S. Wesley et al.

Summary: The recent AMP trials demonstrated the potential of blocking infection from sensitive HIV-1 strains through the infusion of specific antibodies. An accurate measurement method for in vivo concentrations of passively infused antibodies was developed to determine effective doses for therapy and/or prevention. Additionally, the study explored the use of triple combinations of antibodies for HIV-1 prevention.

Assay Harmonization and Use of Biological Standards To Improve the Reproducibility of the Hemagglutination Inhibition Assay: a FLUCOP Collaborative Study

Joanna Waldock et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the impact of harmonizing the HAI assay protocol and using standards on interlaboratory variability. The results showed that using a consensus protocol and common reagents significantly reduced variability between laboratories. Additionally, pooled postvaccination human sera were effective as biological standards for testing influenza vaccine antibodies.
