Recent Progress on Boosting the Perovskite Film Quality of All-Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells

Summary: The all-inorganic CsPbX3 perovskite material combines the advantages of advanced light absorption coefficient, long carrier lifetime, and simple preparation process of organic-inorganic perovskite materials with excellent stability under damp heat erosion. It is a competitive direction for the development of perovskite materials. However, there are still challenges in obtaining high power conversion efficiency (PCE) in all-inorganic perovskite thin films. This review systematically summarizes additive engineering, solvent engineering, and interface engineering methods to promote thin film properties and achieve high PCE in recent years.

Fully Scalable and Stable CsPbI2Br Solar Cells Realized by an All-Spray-Coating Process

Extracting ammonium halides by solvent from the hybrid perovskites with various dimensions to promote the crystallization of CsPbI3 perovskite

Summary: The inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite, with suitable optical bandgap and high chemical stability, has shown great potential as a light absorber in perovskite solar cells. However, the phase instability and composition manipulation of CsPbI3 perovskite film have been major challenges. In this study, a new strategy, involving the extraction of ammonium halide by solvent, was developed to address these issues. The extraction of ammonium halide was found to promote the crystallization of CsPbI3 perovskite and improve the film quality. By combining this method with conventional annealing, the composition of the CsPbI3 perovskite film could be finely manipulated. Moreover, the resulting CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells achieved an efficiency of 15.35%, setting a new record for inorganic C-PSCs.

Small radius electron and hole polarons in PbX2 (X = F, Cl, Br) crystals: a computational study
