Trapping and acceleration of spin-polarized positrons from γ photon splitting in wakefields

Wei-Yuan Liu et al.

Summary: In this paper, an efficient scheme of trapping and accelerating polarized positrons in plasma wakefields is proposed. The results show that polarized positron sources with high spin polarization can be generated, which provides potential for future applications and may attract broad interest in other physics fields.

High Efficiency Uniform Wakefield Acceleration of a Positron Beam Using Stable Asymmetric Mode in a Hollow Channel Plasma

Shiyu Zhou et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel approach to achieve rapid high-energy acceleration of positrons through symmetric focusing methods in a hollow plasma channel, which can improve the energy extraction efficiency and reduce the energy spread of positrons. Further optimization is feasible for even better results.

Stable Positron Acceleration in Thin, Warm, Hollow Plasma Channels

T. Silva et al.

Summary: The study shows that thin, warm hollow channels can sustain large-amplitude plasma waves for high-quality positron acceleration. The combination of warm electrons and thin hollow channels enables positron focusing structures that unlock beam breakup damping mechanisms. These channels self-consistently emerge during long-term plasma dynamics, allowing for experimental demonstration.
