The temperature and entropy corrections of the charged hairy black holes

M. Rostami et al.

Summary: This paper examines the influence of a scalar field on the statistical properties of hairy black holes in 2+1 dimensions, focusing on entropy and temperature corrections and the modified thermodynamic quantities. Different types of black holes and their characteristics on the P-V plane are considered, with attention given to the stability under applied conditions and the influences on thermodynamic characteristics.

Regular black holes in three dimensions

Pablo Bueno et al.

Summary: A plethora of new analytic black holes and globally regular horizonless spacetimes in three dimensions have been discovered, with solutions involving a single real scalar field. The new metrics are continuous generalizations of the BTZ solution, solving the Einstein gravity equations corrected by a new family of densities. Some solutions describe black holes with one or several horizons, while others have curvature singularities or are completely regular. Additionally, there are solutions describing globally regular and horizonless geometries.

Black holes of (2+1)-dimensional f (R) gravity coupled to a scalar field

Thanasis Karakasis et al.

Summary: The study investigates f(R) gravity theories with a scalar field coupled to gravity in (2+1) dimensions, with a self-interacting potential. Without specifying the form of the f(R) function, an exact black hole solution with scalar hair and associated scalar charge is obtained, along with discussions on its thermodynamics. At large distances, this solution forms a hairy Banados, Teitelboim, and Zanelli (BTZ) black hole, reducing to the BTZ black hole when the scalar field decouples. Another exact hairy black hole solution resembling the BTZ black hole with phantom hair is found in a pure f(R) gravity setting supported by the scalar field, with an analytic f(R) form discussed in terms of its thermodynamics.

Thin shells in (2+1)-dimensional F(R) gravity

Ernesto F. Eiroa et al.

Summary: In (2+1)-dimensional F(R) theories of gravity, we study the stability of thin shells of matter with constant scalar curvature R in spacetimes with circular symmetry. By considering examples such as a charged bubble and a charged thin shell surrounding a noncharged black hole, we demonstrate that stable solutions can be found for suitable values of the parameters.

Thermodynamics of (2+1)-dimensional Coulomb-like black holes from nonlinear electrodynamics with a traceless energy momentum tensor

Mauricio Cataldo et al.

Summary: This work investigates the thermodynamics of a (2 + 1)-dimensional static black hole under a nonlinear electric field, including the analysis of black hole thermodynamic geometry and the calculation of heat engine efficiency. The results suggest that the cosmological constant can be considered as an additional extensive thermodynamic variable.

Three-dimensional black holes via Noether symmetries

Ugur Camci

Summary: The Noether symmetries of stationary rotating BTZ-type spacetimes in the f(R) theory of gravity were investigated in this study. New (2 + 1)-dimensional rotating BTZ-type black hole solutions were derived using the Noether symmetry approach, and their physical implications and thermodynamic properties were discussed. The obtained solutions were analyzed in terms of mass, angular momentum, event horizon, inner horizon, and they were found to obey thermodynamic laws with Smarr-like formulas.
