An increase in the number of peroxisomes is coupled to the initial infection stage and stress response of Botrytis cinerea

Hongjia Han et al.

Summary: This study reveals that activation of the peroxisome pathway contributes to the initial infection and ability to cope with environmental stress in Botrytis cinerea. They found that the overexpression of genes involved in the peroxisome pathway was upregulated in response to the presence of tomato leaves. The increase in peroxisome number and lipid metabolism was associated with infection-related structures and the ability to penetrate plant cells.

Protein glycosylation during infection by plant pathogenic fungi

Caiyun Liu et al.

Summary: Glycosylation in plant pathogenic fungi, especially in Ustilago maydis and Magnaporthe oryzae, has received significant attention in recent years. The roles of N-glycosylation, O-glycosylation, and GPI anchors in fungal pathogenesis during plant infection are crucial and could provide novel strategies for disease control.

Regulation of Botrytis cinerea Infection and Gene Expression in Cut Roses by Using Nano Silver and Salicylic Acid

Suong Tuyet Thi Ha et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that using nano silver can effectively reduce Botrytis cinerea growth in cut rose flowers, decrease the impact of ethylene, and prolong vase life; while salicylic acid proved to be ineffective in inhibiting Botrytis cinerea growth and ethylene response in cut roses.
