Elucidating Heavy Metals Concentration and Distribution in Wild Edible Morels and the Associated Soil at Different Altitudinal Zones of Pakistan: a Health Risk Implications Study

Summary: This study investigates the concentrations of macro-nutrients and heavy metals in wild edible morel species and associated soil collected from different altitudinal zones in Pakistan. The results show that the concentrations of nutrients in the fruiting bodies and soil samples follow a specific order, and the concentrations of heavy metals are generally within permissible limits. However, further monitoring and policy implementation are needed to avoid potential health risks.
