Large-Area Smooth Conductive Films Enabled by Scalable Slot-Die Coating of Ti3C2Tx MXene Aqueous Inks

Tiezhu Guo et al.

Summary: Large-area uniform transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs) with excellent optoelectronic performance have been achieved for the first time using solution-processed Ti3C2Tx MXene aqueous inks. The conductive MXene nanosheets are forced to orientate horizontally during the slot-die coating process, resulting in highly aligned MXene TCEs without percolation issues.

Artificial channels for confined mass transport at the sub-nanometre scale

Jie Shen et al.

Summary: This review discusses the design, mass transport mechanisms, and potential applications of artificial channels that selectively transport small molecules at the sub-nanometer scale. It highlights the platforms of well-defined nanopores, 1D nanotubes, and 2D nanochannels enabled by synthetic nanomaterials, and explores their structure-property-performance relationships. The practicalities and potential impact of these channels on next-generation sustainable technologies for energy, the environment, and healthcare applications are also discussed.

2D Material Nanofiltration Membranes: From Fundamental Understandings to Rational Design

Xiaopeng Liu et al.

Summary: 2D material nanofiltration (NF) membranes have attracted great attention for their energy efficiency and cost effectiveness in water purification. The severely confined nanocapillaries in the membrane lead to anomalous water and ion permeation phenomena, making them promising for achieving superior overall performance. Understanding these abnormal transport behaviors is crucial for the continuous development of 2D material NF membranes.
