Soret and Dufour effects on MHD nanofluid flow of blood through a stenosed artery with variable viscosity

Nidhish K. Mishra et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of Soret and Dufour on MHD nanofluid flow through a composite stenosed artery with temperature-dependent viscosity. The Rosseland approximation is used to determine the radiation effect, and the Reynolds viscosity model is employed to describe temperature-dependent viscosity. The governing equations of the model are solved numerically using the Finite Difference Method. The study examines the influence of the parameters on velocity, temperature, and concentration along the radial axis, and provides physical interpretations for medical applications.

Computer Simulations of EMHD Casson Nanofluid Flow of Blood through an Irregular Stenotic Permeable Artery: Application of Koo-Kleinstreuer-Li Correlations

Rishu Gandhi et al.

Summary: This paper presents a new analysis of electromagnetohydrodynamic (EMHD) non-Newtonian nanofluid blood flow through a permeable walled diseased artery with irregular stenosis and an aneurysm, incorporating CuO and Al2O3 nanoparticles. The Casson fluid model is used to address the non-Newtonian behavior of blood flow. The Koo-Kleinstreuer-Li model is employed to calculate the effective viscosity and thermal conductivity of nanofluids, taking into account the Brownian motion of nanoparticles. The governing mathematical equations are solved using the Crank-Nicolson finite difference approach. The findings of this study have implications for the diagnosis of hemodynamic abnormalities and various fields such as nano-hemodynamics, nano-pharmacology, drug delivery, tissue regeneration, wound healing, and blood purification systems.

Stagnation point flow of a micropolar fluid filled with hybrid nanoparticles by considering various base fluids and nanoparticle shape factors

Umair Khan et al.

Summary: This research investigates the buoyancy or mixed convective stagnation-point flow (SPF) and heat transfer of a micropolar fluid filled with hybrid nanoparticles over a vertical plate. By using self-similarity transformations and numerical solutions, it is found that dual or uniqueness outcomes exist under different circumstances, and the presence of nanoparticle volume fraction affects fluid motion and micro-rotation speeds.

Transient flow of micropolar dusty hybrid nanofluid loaded with Fe3O4-Ag nanoparticles through a porous stretching sheet

Hossam A. Nabwey et al.

Summary: A comprehensive investigation on transient magnetohydrodynamics boundary layer flow of non-Newtonian micropolar hybrid nanofluid immersed with conducting micrometer homogeneously sized dust nanoparticles was conducted. The mathematical model was formulated and solved using the MATLAB approach, with outcomes for different parameters evaluated and presented graphically and in tables. Enhancement in thermal relaxation was found to strengthen temperature variation in both micropolar hybrid nanofluid and dust phases, validated by comparison with earlier published data.

Summary: The study investigates the mathematical modeling of unsteady flow of micropolar Cu-Al2O3/water nanofluid driven by a deformable sheet in the stagnation region with thermal radiation effect. By employing numerical methods, the system of non-linear ordinary differential equations is obtained, and the influences of relevant parameters on fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics are discussed. Addition of nanometer-sized particle (Cu) has been found to significantly enhance the heat transfer rate of the micropolar nanofluid.

Heat transfer analysis of micropolar hybrid nanofluid over an oscillating vertical plate and Newtonian heating

Muhammad Irfan Haider et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the unsteady flow of micropolar hybrid nanofluids through an oscillating vertical plate of infinite length, incorporating copper and alumina nanoparticles for enhanced thermal properties and water as the base liquid for improved heat transfer. The dimensionless reduced form of governing equations was derived using dimensional analysis and exact solutions were obtained using Laplace transform method. Graphical visualization of fluid flow effects was conducted using MathCad software, revealing that microrotation, velocity, and temperature are inversely proportional to Prandtl number but directly proportional to Grashof number. Additionally, temperature can be increased by increasing values of Newtonian heating, radiation, and volume fraction of nanoparticles.
