Guaranteed cost leaderless consensus for uncertain Markov jumping multi-agent systems

A. Parivallal et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an approach for solving the solvability of multi-agent systems with Markov jumps, time-varying delay, and uncertainties. The paper focuses on constructing a state feedback control design with a guaranteed cost function that ensures both consensus and a certain amount of energy consumption. New sufficient conditions for the guaranteed cost consensus of the system are derived using linear matrix inequalities and suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, with the aid of Kronecker product properties. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Innovative non-asymptotic and robust estimation method using auxiliary modulating dynamical systems

Jie Liu et al.

Summary: In this paper, an innovative non-asymptotic and robust estimation method based on auxiliary modulating dynamical systems is introduced. The method is applied to estimate the states and the output's derivatives for linear singular systems with multiple inputs and outputs in noisy environment. The considered system is transformed into a form similar to the Brunovsky's observable canonical form and algebraic integral formulas are obtained. The proposed method's performance is illustrated through numerical simulations.

Event-Triggered Input-Output Finite-Time Stabilization for IT2 Fuzzy Systems Under Deception Attacks

Ramasamy Kavikumar et al.

Summary: This article addresses the issue of input-output finite-time stabilization for interval type-2 fuzzy systems in the presence of deception attack effects. It proposes an event-triggered controller that does not share the same membership functions as the system. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the proposed controller are established using an asymmetric Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and advanced integral inequalities.

Momentum-Based Distributed Continuous-Time Nonconvex Optimization of Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems via Timescale Separation

Zhenghong Jin et al.

Summary: This study solves the distributed nonconvex optimization problem for nonlinear multi-agent systems over a weight-balanced and quasi-strongly connected graph. The goal is to steer all agents to the optimum of a given global objective function with partial information. Novel momentum-based distributed optimal coordinators are designed, and the local objective functions are required to be analytic. A system with different timescales is established to handle the interconnected closed-loop system. The proposed distributed method and extended algorithms are validated through numerical and application examples.

Fuzzy Small-Gain Approach for the Distributed Optimization of T-S Fuzzy Cyber-Physical Systems

Zhenghong Jin et al.

Summary: This paper studies the distributed optimization problem of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy cyber-physical systems using weight-balanced graphs and quasistrongly connected characteristics. The objective is to drive the outputs of all agents to the optimal solution of a given global objective function based on partial information of the local objective functions. Distributed optimal coordinators and fuzzy reference-tracking controllers are used to achieve this goal. The paper proposes two Lyapunov-based fuzzy input-to-state stability small-gain theorems for the T-S fuzzy interconnected system.

A Leader-Following Consensus Problem Via a Distributed Observer and Fuzzy Input-to-Output Small-Gain Theorem

Zhenghong Jin et al.

Summary: This article presents a composite fuzzy distributed control law to solve a cooperative control problem of fuzzy multiagent systems with a nonlinear leader system based on the distributed observer. The contributions of this article are three-fold. First, the small-gain theorem is extended to fuzzy systems, and input-to-output stability (IOS) and output-Lagrange input-to-output stability (OL-IOS) fuzzy small-gain theorem are proposed for fuzzy systems. Second, the OL-IOS small-gain theorem of fuzzy systems with multiple loop is given. Third, based on fuzzy small-gain theorem, the fuzzy distributed control law is composed of a purely fuzzy distributed control law and a distributed observer for the leader system.

Injected Infrared and Visible Image Fusion via L1 Decomposition Model and Guided Filtering

Hui Yan et al.

Summary: This paper presents an algorithm for the fusion of infrared (IR) and visible (VIS) images, which injects IR objects into a VIS background in a perceptual manner. The algorithm consists of four parts: image decomposition, layer fusion, image reconstruction, and image refinement. It utilizes an edge-preserving filter for image decomposition, which effectively preserves edges and attenuates the influence of the IR background. A two-layer fusion rule is adopted to ensure that the fused image contains both rich background information from the VIS image and salient features from the IR image. After image reconstruction, a guided filter is applied again to refine the fused image, resulting in satisfactory human visual perception under dim lights. The effectiveness and superiority of the fusion algorithm are demonstrated through ablation studies and comparative experiments.

New Design on Distributed Event-Based Sliding Mode Controller for Disturbed Second-Order Multiagent Systems

Xihui Wu et al.

Summary: This article proposes a new method based on event-triggered sliding mode control to solve the tracking consensus problem of disturbed second-order multiagent systems. By designing distributed sliding manifolds and distributed sliding mode control, the performance of the system is improved, and the flexibility of parameter selection is increased through event-triggered conditions. New sufficient conditions for the reachability of sliding manifold are derived through theoretical analysis, and it is proved that the method has attractive features including fast response, good transient performance, and robustness to uncertainties.

Impulse Elimination of the Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Singular System Via Sliding-Mode Control

Yi Zhang et al.

Summary: This article investigates the problems of impulse controllability and impulse elimination for Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy singular systems using sliding-mode control. The necessary and sufficient conditions for impulse controllability are obtained based on the rank of matrices of the system equivalent form. The relationship between impulses and fuzzy membership functions is also established. The proposed approach not only effectively eliminates impulses but also achieves asymptotic stability of the system.

Summary: This paper investigates the consensus control problem of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy multiagent systems using an observer based distributed adaptive sliding mode control. A novel distributed integral sliding surface is designed to suppress disturbance and uncertainty, while a nominal distributed protocol and an adaptive sliding mode controller are separately designed to achieve the consensus objective. The proposed method is demonstrated through two examples, showing its superiority compared to other controllers and its effectiveness in solving the consensus control problem of T-S fuzzy MASs.
