Resistive switching memory based on chitosan/polyvinylpyrrolidone blend as active layers

Zolile Wiseman Dlamini et al.

Summary: This study reports on the resistive switching behavior of ReRAM devices using chitosan/PVP composite as the active layers. The memory and switching characteristics of the devices can be controlled by varying the ratio of chitosan to PVP. The interface between Al and chitosan+PVP plays a crucial role in determining the memory behavior, while ITO/chitosan+PVP/Ag devices show no memory characteristics. The results demonstrate the importance of electrode material in ReRAM devices.

Bipolar Switching Characteristics of Transparent WOX-Based RRAM for Synaptic Application and Neuromorphic Engineering

Jihyung Kim et al.

Summary: In this study, we evaluated the resistive switching and synaptic characteristics of a fully transparent resistive RAM device based on indium-tin-oxide (ITO) electrodes. The device exhibited reliable bipolar switching behavior and high optical transmittance. The switching mechanism was explained through the formation/rupture of filaments, with the assistance of extra oxygen vacancies provided by the ITO electrodes.

Resistive switching of self-assembly stacked h-BN polycrystal film

Tangyou Sun et al.

Summary: The study proposes a liquid-phase self-assembly (LPSA) method to fabricate stacked hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) polycrystal film and demonstrates its resistive switching behavior. Resistive switching behaviors are observed in devices with different electrode structures, and the proposed method offers a convenient and low-cost way to fabricate memory materials on arbitrary substrates. Stacked polycrystal film facilitates the study of nonvolatile resistive switching and opens up potential avenues for numerous functional applications.

Optical and resistive switching properties of Chitosan-aluminum-doped zinc oxide composite thin films for transparent resistive random access memory application

Sreedevi Vallabhapurapu et al.

Summary: Transparent resistive random access memory applications have been studied using chitosan-aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO) composite thin films. The composite films have high optical transmission, refractive index in the range of 1.71-1.86, and optical transmission of 87-89% at 550 nm. The resistive switching behavior of the composite films is reversible, with stability observed at a threshold Al concentration in ZnO.
