The ecomind sponge conceptual framework proposes a systematic approach to examine this relationship using system boundaries, selective exchange, and adaptive optimization. The subjective sphere of influence is the core mechanism, representing the limited mental representation of information received and processed based on actual interactions. Maladaptation in thinking and behavior results from the deviation of the subjective sphere from reality, including stupidity and delusion. Statistical evidence supports the properties of subjective spheres, providing a dynamic framework for environmental and psychosocial research.

A Gender Study of Food Stress and Implications for International Students Acculturation

Summary: Acculturative stress is a significant issue for international students, especially when it comes to adjusting to new foods in a new environment. This study utilized the information processing approach to examine the subjective perception of dietary acculturation difficulties, focusing on the influence of social connectedness. The findings indicate that female students are more likely to perceive difficulties in adjusting to new foods, but social connectedness can lessen this effect. Additionally, no significant differences were found between domestic and international students regarding perceived difficulties of food adjustment, possibly due to the multicultural environment of the study site.

Building eco-surplus culture among urban residents as a novel strategy to improve finance for conservation in protected areas

To address the issue, it is essential to maintain and expand effectively managed protected areas. This study found that perceptions of biodiversity loss indirectly affect willingness to pay for entrance fees and conservation through the mediation of conservation attitudes. Establishing an eco-surplus culture could be a promising approach to generate more finance from nature-based tourism for protected area conservation.
