Exploring the influencing factors of carbon neutralization in Chinese manufacturing enterprises

Jianhua Zhu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of green technology innovation subsidy, carbon tax, and carbon emission trading on carbon emission reduction in manufacturing enterprises, and obtains optimal reduction measures. The findings suggest that the choice of the best reduction measure depends on the stage of green technology innovation and maturity, with the goal of maximizing social welfare and carbon emission reduction efficiency.

Low-Carbon Supply Chain Coordination Based on Carbon Tax and Government Subsidy Policy

Wenxue Ran et al.

Summary: This study analyzes and designs a coordination contract suitable for a low-carbon supply chain, considering carbon tax policy and government subsidies, aiming to reduce emissions, increase total supply chain profits, and improve sustainable competitiveness and coordination. Using the Stackelberg game method, centralized and decentralized decision-making models are created. The revenue-sharing contract is designed to achieve sustainable coordination of the supply chain by analyzing decision-making and emission-reduction strategies. Numerical analysis results show that centralized decision-making leads to more orders placed and emissions reduced, complying with the revenue-sharing contract increases total supply chain profits, and the contract allows for free allocation of supply chain gross margins for coordination.

Green finance: how can it help Chinese power enterprises transition towards carbon neutrality

Chengyu Li et al.

Summary: China's power sector aims to achieve carbon neutrality by cutting its carbon emissions by 90% by 2060. Green finance is receiving attention for its role in enabling the green transformation of power enterprises. This paper discusses fiscal and financial support mechanisms, financing mechanisms, and financial support mechanisms for promoting carbon trading in the green transformation of power enterprises. The study also assesses the utilization of green finance by power enterprises and analyzes the changes in power generation structure.

Coordinating a two-stage supply chain with external failure cost-sharing and risk-averse agents

Luning Zang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a two-stage supply chain is analyzed under different settings to study the impact of external failure cost-sharing ratio, channel power leadership, and quality improvement investments on the optimal solution. It is found that under high external failure cost-ratio, the influence of channel power on the supply chain leader is contrary to traditional wisdom. Quality improvement investments always lead to higher profits, and risk-averse partners gain less profit in a two-echelon supply chain.

Managing brand competition with consumer fairness concern via manufacturer incentive

Niu Yu et al.

Summary: This study examines how consumer fairness concern influences the introduction of store brands and the incentive strategies of manufacturers. The findings indicate that consumer fairness behavior negatively affects the retailer's profit, and the incentive provided by the manufacturer can alleviate consumers' fairness concern for the national brand.

Remanufacturing process innovation in closed-loop supply chain under cost-sharing mechanism and different power structures

Haitao Chen et al.

Summary: This paper investigates remanufacturing process innovation, pricing decisions, and cost-sharing mechanism in a closed-loop supply chain under different power structures. The Nash model shows the most effective performance among the three models, while the retailer in the Retailer-led model has the highest optimal cost-sharing proportion, which is not affected by consumers' perception of remanufactured products.

Coordinating a closed loop supply chain with fairness concern by a constant wholesale price contract

Sumit Sarkar et al.

Summary: The literature on closed loop supply chains has overlooked advantageous inequality aversion in modelling the fairness concern of channel partners, showing that coordinating a decentralized channel requires complex price contracts. This paper demonstrates that a constant wholesale price contract can effectively coordinate a manufacturer-led CLSC if the retailer's advantageous inequality aversion is strong. The results show that higher collection rates and channel profits are achieved when the retailer exhibits inequality aversion compared to profit maximization, regardless of the end-of-use product collector.

Carbon emission reduction of coal-fired power supply chain enterprises under the revenue sharing contract: Perspective of coordination game

Bangjun Wang et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a coordination game model for carbon emission reduction of coal-fired power supply chain enterprises based on the Stackelberg model, with carbon quota constraints taken into account. A revenue sharing coordination mechanism is designed to ensure profits and carbon emission reduction levels are greater than decentralized decision-making without contract, achieving global coordination of the coal-fired power supply chain. The theoretical results are further verified through data calculation examples and parameter sensitivity analysis.

Improving sustainability and social responsibility of a two-tier supply chain investing in emission reduction technology

Qingguo Bai et al.

Summary: This study compares two optimization models in a decentralized system, one with emission reduction technology and one without, finding that the former results in higher profits for each system member, but opposite for carbon emissions when the manufacturer's technology level exceeds a threshold. Testing the decentralized model with emission reduction technology, the system profit increases and corresponding carbon emissions decrease, leading to the proposal of a revenue and cost-sharing contract to coordinate the decentralized system and improve its economic and environmental sustainability.

Summary: This paper investigates sustainability coordination among three major supply chain parties in the context of consumer green awareness, finding that greener markets are more profitable. High investment costs hinder companies from achieving higher levels of emission reduction, while increased consumer green awareness can motivate companies to achieve higher emission reduction levels, but not always lead to reduced carbon emissions.
