Factors influencing corporate sustainability disclosure practices: empirical evidence from Indian National Stock Exchange

Summary: This study evaluates the sustainability disclosure practices of publicly listed companies in India and investigates the impact of various factors on their sustainability disclosure. The results indicate that environmentally polluting industries in India disclose more sustainability information. The study also finds that company size, age, free cash flow capacity, government ownership, and global reporting initiative usage are positively related to the extent of sustainability disclosure.

The study finds that firms engaged in CSR practices tend to have better financial performance. Moreover, it shows that CEO education and tenure positively moderate the relationship between firm financial performance and corporate sustainability.

The Effect of the Characteristics and Activities of the Board of Directors on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Disclosures: Empirical Evidence from Southeast Asia

Summary: This study analyzed the impact of board of directors' characteristics and activities, as well as the existence of CSR committees, on SDG disclosures. It found that board meeting attendance and CSR committees positively affected SDG disclosures, indicating that board involvement can encourage more intensive SDG disclosures. Companies with a strong commitment to sustainability tend to have higher levels of SDG disclosures.

The influence of corporate governance structure on sustainability reporting in Malaysia
