Bryan Fuller et al.

Summary: Interest in leadership research is growing, but the emergence of new leadership forms is slowing down the rate of leadership learning. This meta-analysis addresses the shortcomings of prior research on newer genre leadership forms by utilizing a larger number of studies and examining the correlations among them. The results suggest that newer genre leadership forms have a significant degree of overlap while also accounting for unique variance in outcome variables. Pursuing an integrated theory and measure of these leadership forms is recommended for future leadership research.
