MXene quantum dots/perovskite heterostructure enabling highly specific ultraviolet detection for skin prevention

Yiqiang Zheng et al.

Summary: This study utilized Ti3C2Tx quantum dots (TQDs) to enhance charge carriers of 2D perovskite Ca2Nb3O10 (CNO) nano -sheet (NS) layers, resulting in a 1,100% increase in spectral responsivity in the TQD-modified 2D perovskite CNO NS photodetector compared to the reference. The flexible TQD/CNO photodetector was integrated with a data collector to create a wearable visible-blind UV monitoring system for skin and plant protection. Artificial neural network was used to train and recognize ambient UV radiation information for alerting users. This work demonstrates the potential applications of TQD/CNO in UV-related wearable healthcare and control systems.

Perovskite multifunctional logic gates via bipolar photoresponse of single photodetector

Woochul Kim et al.

Summary: In response to the explosive demand for data processing, there has been interest in a new logic gate platform that can overcome the limitations of existing electronic logic gates. This study presents an all-in-one optoelectronic logic gate based on the spectral photo-response characteristics of a self-powered perovskite photodetector. Five representative logic gates are demonstrated using a single detector via photocurrent polarity control.

Integrated polarization-sensitive amplification system for digital information transmission

Wenhao Ran et al.

Summary: The authors propose an integrated polarization-sensitive amplification system using a nanowire polarized photodetector and organic semiconductor transistors to boost the polarization sensitivity from 1.24 to 375. This integrated system can increase the anisotropic photocurrent ratio of any low-dimensional material corresponding to the polarized light, enabling the realization of a simple digital polarized light communication system with certain information disguising and confidentiality effects.
