Fiducial Drell-Yan production at the LHC improved by transverse-momentum resummation at N4LLp+N3LO

Tobias Neumann et al.

Summary: Drell-Yan production is a precision cornerstone for the LHC, providing calibration for measurements like the W-boson mass. This study presents the first independent calculation of Drell-Yan production at order alpha 3s in transverse-momentum resummation improved perturbation theory. The calculation includes the recently published four loop rapidity anomalous dimension and three loop massive axial-vector contributions, and shows excellent agreement with the most recent data from CMS.

Dilepton Rapidity Distribution in Drell-Yan Production to Third Order in QCD

Xuan Chen et al.

Summary: We calculate the lepton-pair rapidity distribution in the photon-mediated Drell-Yan process to a high order in QCD for the first time. Our results demonstrate significant QCD corrections at this high order over the entire rapidity region, and independently confirm the recent results for the total Drell-Yan cross section.

Mixed Strong-Electroweak Corrections to the Drell-Yan Process

Roberto Bonciani et al.

Summary: This study presents the first complete computation of the mixed QCD-electroweak (EW) corrections to the neutral-current Drell-Yan process. The two-loop virtual contribution is computed using semianalytical techniques, and the cancellation of singularities is achieved through an appropriate qT subtraction formalism. The results show that the mixed QCD-EW corrections are negative and increase in magnitude at high lepton pT values, with a maximum of about -15% compared to the next-to-leading-order QCD result at pT 1/4 500 GeV. Up to dilepton invariant masses of 1 TeV, the computed corrections amount to about -1.5% compared to the next-to-leading-order QCD result.

Two-loop mixed QCD-EW corrections to neutral current Drell-Yan

Tommaso Armadillo et al.

Summary: We present the two-loop mixed strong-electroweak virtual corrections to the neutral current Drell-Yan process and provide the explicit formulae of the infrared-subtracted finite remainder as supplementary material. The final state collinear singularities are regularised by the lepton mass. The calculation of all relevant Feynman integrals, including those with up to two internal massive lines, is carried out using analytical and semi-analytical techniques in the case of complex-valued masses.

Lepton-pair production at hadron colliders at N3LO in QCD

Claude Duhr et al.

Summary: For the first time, we have computed the complete corrections to the strong coupling constant in the inclusive neutral-current Drell-Yan process, taking into account contributions from both photon and Z-boson exchange. Our analysis includes QCD corrections to the inclusive production cross section of an axial-vector boson to third order in strong coupling, considering the effects of non-decoupling of the top-quark mass. We have also presented predictions for the inclusive Drell-Yan process at the LHC, based on this order of QCD perturbation theory.

Inclusive production cross sections at N3LO

Julien Baglio et al.

Summary: In this paper, we present the inclusive cross section for the production of the Higgs boson associated with a massive gauge boson at the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD for the first time. We also introduce n3loxs, a numerical program for calculating inclusive cross sections at the third order in the strong coupling constant. Our study discusses the perturbative and parton distribution function (PDF) uncertainties in the processes mentioned above.

Third-Order Fiducial Predictions for Drell-Yan Production at the LHC

Xuan Chen et al.

Summary: This study presents a state-of-the-art calculation for the Drell-Yan process at hadron colliders, providing accurate theoretical predictions and experimental results. The research indicates that residual theory uncertainties can be significantly reduced and predictions can be improved by adjusting experimental cuts.

Mixed QCD-electroweak corrections to dilepton production at the LHC in the high invariant mass region

Federico Buccioni et al.

Summary: We computed the mixed QCD-electroweak corrections to high invariant mass neutral-current Drell-Yan production of massless leptons. Our results show unexpectedly large corrections at low invariant masses and an approximation to the product of QCD and electroweak corrections at higher invariant masses. These corrections increase with larger invariant mass and reduce the theoretical uncertainty related to the choice of electroweak input parameters.

Summary: Fast interpolation-grid frameworks are efficient and flexible tools for evaluating higher-order predictions and extracting parton distribution functions and Standard Model parameters. The APPLFAST project provides a generic interface for grid interpolation and has been applied to jet production at the LHC.
