Exploring the In-Vitro Antibacterial Activity and Protein (Human Serum Albumin, Human Hemoglobin and Lysozyme) Interaction of Hexagonal Silver Nanoparticle Obtained from Wood Extract of Wild Cherry Shrub

Nahid Shahabadi et al.

Summary: The silver nanoparticles were synthesized using a green method with aqueous wood extract of cerasus macrocarpa shrub. These nanoparticles exhibited strong antibacterial activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The interaction between the green synthesized AgNPs and proteins in simulated physiological conditions was studied, revealing good binding affinity and the preservation of protein conformation.

Elucidating the Interaction and Stability of Withanone and Withaferin-A with Human Serum Albumin, Lysozyme and Hemoglobin Using Computational Biophysical Modeling

Sanchaita Rajkhowa et al.

Summary: The binding interactions between bioactive compounds WT-N and WT-A with three carrier proteins were studied using various techniques. The results showed that WT-N and WT-A exhibited drug-like properties and reactivity, with different stability profiles in different proteins. Non-covalent interactions played a major role in the binding process. Molecular dynamics simulations provided evidence of conformational changes and dynamic properties of the proteins in the presence of the ligands.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa adaptation and evolution in patients with cystic fibrosis

Elio Rossi et al.

Summary: Genome sequencing reveals the phenotypic adaptation and transmission of P. aeruginosa in CF airways, but its limited potential in predicting chronic infection and adaptive state calls for linking phenotypic traits to genome sequences. The environmental conditions of CF lungs shape the genetic and phenotypic changes of P. aeruginosa, leading to its diversity and plasticity.
