Revealing the potential of organo-mineral complexes in agricultural application using bibliometrics

Xuehao Zheng et al.

Summary: This study conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of organo-mineral complexes (OMCs) and predicted future research directions. The research identified potential applications of OMCs in agriculture and pollutant control. This report, for the first time, used bibliometrics to clarify the research gap and highlight the importance of OMCs research.

The dominant microbial metabolic pathway of the petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil of shale gas field: Carbon fixation instead of CO2 emissions

Kejin Chen et al.

Summary: In shale gas mining areas, indigenous microorganisms can degrade organic pollutants such as petroleum hydrocarbons into CO2 and H2O through aerobic metabolism, but a large quantity of CO2 emissions can exacerbate the greenhouse effect. The experiment found that the removal rate of petroleum hydrocarbons was significantly lower under high-concentration pollution compared to low and medium concentrations, with the largest removal rate in the early stage of culture for each group's TPH concentration. Additionally, the main carbon fixation pathway identified in the study was the reductive citric acid cycle.

Organo-mineral complexes alter bacterial composition and induce carbon and nitrogen cycling in the rhizosphere

Xuehao Zheng et al.

Summary: In this study, it was found that the addition of organo-mineral complexes (OMCs) significantly promoted the growth of Brassica napus. The addition of OMCs increased the relative abundance of nitrogen-fixing bacteria and bacterial diversity in the rhizosphere, inducing nitrogen fixation and carbon storage. These findings provide fresh insights into the effects of OMCs on biogeochemical cycling and suggest a promising strategy for improving soil productivity.

Petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soil bioremediation assisted by isolated bacterial consortium and sophorolipid

Leiyu Feng et al.

Summary: The use of indigenous bacterial consortium combined with biosurfactant can enhance the bioremediation efficiency of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soil, reducing the half-life of TPH and improving its bioavailability. Biosurfactant stimulates microbial activities, accelerates the biodegradation process, and serves as an effective auxiliary method for the remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soil.

Activating soil microbial community using bacillus and rhamnolipid to remediate TPH contaminated soil

Luge Rong et al.

Summary: The study found that inoculating Bacillus methylotrophicus and adding rhamnolipid can effectively degrade TPH in petroleum-contaminated soil. After remediation, the abundance of indigenous petroleum-degrading bacteria increased significantly, and the interaction among microorganisms can promote non-specific oxidases to remove TPH in soil.
