Whole-Genome Sequence and Comparative Analysis of Trichoderma asperellum ND-1 Reveal Its Unique Enzymatic System for Efficient Biomass Degradation

Fengzhen Zheng et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the enzymatic system of T. asperellum ND-1 through genome sequencing and found that it plays a critical role in biological control. Compared with QM6a, ND-1 has a unique enzyme system, especially hemicellulases and chitinases. Furthermore, ND-1 exhibits higher hemicellulase activity (particularly xylanases) and comparable cellulase activity compared to other fungi. These findings provide a platform for designing advanced T. asperellum ND-1 strains for industrial utilization.
