Protective Effects of Carbon Dots Derived from Armeniacae Semen Amarum Carbonisata Against Acute Lung Injury Induced by Lipopolysaccharides in Rats

Yusheng Zhao et al.

Summary: This study investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of carbon dots derived from Armeniacae Semen Amarum Carbonisata (ASAC-CDs). ASAC-CDs ranged from 1.5 to 5.5 nm in diameter and exhibited a quantum yield of 3.17%. ASAC-CDs alleviated lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in rats by reducing the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and increasing the levels of anti-inflammatory factors. Additionally, ASAC-CDs exhibited antioxidant activity. These findings provide important evidence for the clinical application of ASAC-CDs in anti-pneumonia and the development of novel nano-drugs.
